 Post subject: velociraptor raid 0 array

Can some one please advise me on how to raid two velociraptors on a asus crosshair formula 2 motherboard wit an amd phenom 9950 this is not my first build but the hardest time I have had with a raid 0 array I had 2 150 gig raptors raided with no problem

Has your previous experience also been with ASUS's on board RAID controller?
Personally, I had a bugger of a time with the built in RAID controller on an earlier ASUS board. If you're having the same problems, I could get the RAID going in BIOS, and the add on RAID utility. However, Windows would go through the install, then tell me on reboot that there was no HD installed in the system.

If you're getting the same problems, I never did get it to work, except to put the OS on a single drive and run the RAID array as a secondary drive, which was no use to me at all.

I, personally, would suggest a post in both fora. That way you get a pool of answers from both groups.

Remember to go back to the folding area to get your GPU2 and SMP clients set up to be part of teh folding team. Sorry we did not know how to get your raid, but we can Fold.
