well, it depends on which one you want to be your default browser...

I use firefox 0.9.2 and it has the option to check for you when it is first installed. After that you can go to the menu of

Tools >> Options... >> General >> Default Browser and hit "check now"

it will tell you if it is or isn't. If it is not, it will ask you if you want to change it to that browser

Again, this is for Firefox, which is made by Mozilla, so it would probably be different for Opera.

Good luck

there is also a "Set Program Access and Defaults" button in your Add/Remove Programs box, although it doesn't have a whole lot of options.

Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools and choose Internet Options, Programs, under "reset web settings" there is a box, put a check in it and hit apply then follow instructions.

The deal is, IE Explorer is so full of bugs, loopholes, backdoors ro what-have-you, that it really isn't worth the hassle. You go to their site to get new patches, and half the time the patches make your problems worse.

Don't know about Opera, I use Firefox. Stick with opera if you want. Try Firefox though.
