I'm trying to figure a way to do this -- Bookmarks Synchronizer only works with Firefox, and although for now I've resorted to having a link to the bookmarks.htm of Firefox within my IE favorites, it's a clumsy patch at best and I'm trying to figure a better way to do it. The best way would be so that each browser's bookmarks would be automatically synchronized so I wouldn't have to Import the IE favorites into Firefox every now and then, as it gets messy.

Anyone have an idea? THanks.

i don't see how it can be possible since Firefox uses one file to contain all its Favorites while IE uses one per Favorite.

well if you make Mozilla the default browser, those URL shortcuts should open in whatever the default is.

Of coarse you may want to put a shortcut somewhere to your IE favorites file.

You can also export them from IE through File -> import/export. And of coarse if you wanted to be handy about it, you could save it directly to where you Mozilla bookmarks and be done with it, but that would overwrite anything that's there.

If you want to keep what you have, but just put something new in, you can import through Mozilla through Bookmarks -> Manage bookmarks -> Tools -> Import to import the file you just exported from IE.

ie add it to one, the other gets it, vice versa.

Yeah, I do this right now, but it is clunky... and I know I can have a Favorite in IE of the Mozilla Bookmarks file as HTML, but it's still clunky Not totally satisfactory, but such an obvious idea.

It's a sucky situation. Here is my solution (not that I use IE, but I often need to get to my bookmarks from a lab computer). Create a small website and keep your bookmarks there!

It works well and I can't complain, but if you somehow find a hosting company running a java application server, there is a j2ee program that is better. Let me know if you want the link; you'll have to tell me the hosting company first though.
