Deleting doesnt REALLY delete stuff.
Hence I got my file back.

True it just frees the memory address on the HDD for use after the file is deleted. If you do not recover any deleted file ASAP, it will eventually be unrecoverable due to use of the PC and new data replacing the memory address.

I am glad you were able to recover the file. If you want to completely delete a file you will want to download a file shredder. Any good one will allow you to set the number of passes with random data it performs and there are some good free ones out there.

LMAO! NOw some no0b is going to come by interested in getting MS Money and won't know that it is a piece of shit.

But wait.... You mean when I hit the delete key, the thing doesn't really dissapear into nothingness? Crap. I need to figure out a better method of getting rid of my pr0n. LOL


LOL, I didnt buy Money, so no big loss. It came with our laptop.

Besides, who gets RID of their pr0n?

When you "delete" a file, the OS just keeps note that that space is no longer needed, and when something needs to be writtin to the hard drive it can use that space.

So in my case, I just installed all the recovery apps to my second HDD so that there was less chance of my file being totally lost.
