Maximum PC

I recently installed an ATI radeon all in wonder 85oodv in my AGP slot.

I reset my bios to first go AGP.

My old card, which I removed, Was a PCI nvidia card.

When I tried to set up the nvidia card with a second monitor, I got error messages regarding drivers for the Radeon and the nvidia/second monitor never worked.

In display properties I could see a Radeon as monitor 1 and three and the nvidia as 2 and 4 (sometimes it said default monitor for the 2 & 4).

In device manager I could see both cards.

I took the pci card out and gave up.

Using XP pro.

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

If I read this correctly, were you trying to use both the ATI and Nvidia cards to run a dual monitor setup?

If so, that probably won't work because the ATi drivers are not going to send output through your Nvidia card.

See if you can find a Radeon VE (read: cheap ATI PCI card) and try that.

yes I was. two cards, two monitors, one computer. two sets of drivers.

i've used an Nvidia card for a 2nd monitor with an ATI card as the primary card. i never did have driver conflicts though
