I updated to Service Pack #2 last eve,on a WinXP Home Computer...I did the same thing the next day on another quite similar WinXP Home computer...& this exact same problem occurs...
Now,most times I right click on ANY file, the computer pauses,& I get this error message:
The Instuction at "0x0247415b" referenced memory at"0x00000000".The memory could not be"written".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program.
Thats an exact quote.
There are some items I can right click on...for instance My Computer...or the desktop..
But not on ANY file including not any file on any drive..& not in the start menu, either.
I tried startng in safe mode.... NO CURE...I tried then re-starting in Safe Mode & then re-installing Service Pack#2 via the 260+ meg Network install...
Any one have any ideas what happened...or how to cure this..?
Thank you in advance
