To the point my internet is at full speed which is 3 MBs "sucks" anyway it stays that way for 6 to 8 hrs "random" and slows up and down and gets worst and takes 1 to 6 hrs "random" to drop but light on modem show it's still showing connected but internet is down, after a wile the light on the modem goes out 1 to 4 hrs "random" and differently not connection. I have 2 computers and a smart TV that show the same problem. Hooking ether computer straight to the modem shows same outcome. All streaming sites I can't watch even at 360, these are Twitch.tv Justin.tv and Hitbox.tv to name a few which I know I can watch them at 720 at 30 fps at 3 Mbs. Downloading random files from random sites does the same thing.

I called them about every day and they sad they will fix it "NOT" both AT&T and Suddenlink.

And this is nation wide and it's been going on for a month on AT&T and Suddenlink.
Only thing I can think of is that they AT&T and Suddenlink have to meet somewhere to the same server and that server may "I'm just guessing" have a memory leak, because every time they reset it happens all over again or "maybe a stretching it" a virus in there server.

Here's the kicker when the connection slows down I go and open 5 YouTubes at the same time and the internet goes top speed which it 3 MBs???, I close one of them and it slows down again, this is the same for downloading.

I have a Netgear R7000 Nighthawk which haves gaming and streaming at top QOS.
My IP was AT&T DSL at 3 Mbs using there modem/router only and had the same problem for 3 months, so I dropped them and went with Suddenlink cable which they are at least 2 months old and at 3 Mbs. I can't go any faster.

So it is not a problem with the Nighthawk. You still get the same problem using the ethernet?

I use any cable and any computer and hook it straight to the modem. Remember the modem light goes out which means it lost connection and it's nation wide every time I call the IP guys.

Check this out when streaming YouTube is all over the place and slow.
.30 is 3 Mbs.
Sorry for some reason I can not upload a picture in jpeg, bmp, png, or gif.

How old is your place? Have the phone and cable lines been there for 30 years? Did they pull new RG6Q when the cable modem was installed? How far from the node are you?

Here's a list of trace and ping strait to Suddenlink.com. And did I say it's nation wide "yes I did" and not just in one county when I called support and people nearby are having the same problem.
Tell me what you think down below.

On a good connection at 3.0 Mbs. This is a trace program from ITC.

This is where download speed is good and 15 hops.

Look, it's pretty obvious that it's on your ISP's end, so there's not really anything you can do about it. Umm, I suppose you could try a VPN, but basically it is how it is.

Try to get in contact with the "executive" contacts for your ISP, if they keep tossing you around at regular customer service lines. At least that's what I read about people who have problems at the ISP end.

Two different services and their respective equipment with same result means the problem is on your end.

You have bypassed the wifi router and plug directly into Ethernet port on modem to see if problem improves. It doesn't. So not the router.

You have plugged different PC's into it to see if the problem improves. It doesn't. So not the PC.

Replace Ethernet cable between modem and router and see if problem improves.

If not, then when you switched services I assume they switched modems? Is the wiring coming into your home the same?

Crap, I think FascistNation is right. Looking at those tracerts the second hop always seems higher than it should be, so the Ethernet cable or a port.
