New Build..
Asus Maximus VI Formula motherboard..
Corsair AX 860 psu

I have the board hooked up via hdmi to the monitor (have tried dvi with video card installed = same result)

I get lights but no action.

Fans will power up.. lights on motherboard come on.

NO display on monitor.

I also dont have a "little" speaker hooked up to board, but, I do have regular speakers hooked up to motherboards back panel (Dont know if these will give me POST beeps or not)

Have pulled video card
Pulled memory

all achieve same result

POST beeps only come out the little PC speaker hooked up to the front panel headers. So you have one of these reasons:

  • RAM is not seated properly or is faulty.
  • Video card is not seated properly or is faulty
  • Check the CPU/socket for bent/shorted out pins. Reseat as necessary
  • Power supply is bad. Just RMA it. Probing it with a multimeter won't tell you a thing.

Would a bad motherboard be a possibility?

Also... is there anything I can use to hear Beeps?

Maybe an old speaker out of another computer?

If you've exhausted those possibilities then sure. As for using a speaker, if you can find a way to wire it up properly, then probably. It's probably cheaper just to buy one, they're like $3 on Amazon or a bit more at a brick an mortar store (if they sell it).

Just cause the PSU makes the fans run (4 in total now) and lights up the motherboard and video card.. doesnt mean its a working PSU?

Also.. if I got a little speaker to hear beeps.. what would give me NO beeps? Faulty motherboard?

Oh.. something I forgot.

When I plugged in my keyboard (Logitech G510 {usb})

No power for it .. I plug it into my other computer and the LCD display lights up.

Tried plunging it into all the USB ports I had and no power for it.

USB ports aren't initialized until sometime after POST starts.

What does the debug LED in the corner show as the post code?

::::::EDIT::::::

Also what CPU are you running? Do you happen to know the BIOS Version on the board?

Post code 00= CPU not detected. So either the CPU is bad, not getting enough or any power (Latios might be right on PSU) or it could be a bios. You could try the latest Bios there is an article on Asus' site for your board about flashing to the latest bios before running the newer 4th Gen CPU.

It's safe to say the CPU is never the case, unless there's a bent pin.
