First I am sorry if this has been asked many of times, but I couldn't find one like my problem. I just built a new com, (parts at bottom) and when I start it all fans turn on (cpu, video card, case, psu) I get light on mother board, and hard drive is on. But I
am not getting anything on my moniter to come up, and yes it is plugged in and as far as I can tell everything is plugged in right.
Before I go taking off the cpu cooler and try to reseat the cpu, I was wondering if you all have any idea what else could be the problem?

CORSAIR CXM series CX750M
AMD FX-8320
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
ASUS M5A97 R2.0
G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB
SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100364VXBF4L r9 270x
Corsair Vengeance Series C70

Well the thing here is: is the computer beeping at you? Or does it even have the PC Speaker (the little piezo buzzer, not actual speakers) plugged in?

I dont believe it has a speaker because only thing i have not plugged in is for the front audio pnl. I can plug that in and see. If it does beep what does that mean?

The piezo speaker plugs into the where the front panel headers go. It looks like one of these: http://www.amazon.com/PC-Internal-Mini- ... eaker+BIOS

Again this is NOT related to the actual audio hardware of the computer.

no I don't have one of those. For now I am just going to try to take each component out then start, I don't have a multimeter to test psu right now?

Multimeter testing won't work. What people don't realize is you need to apply a load to your voltage source to ensure it works correctly. This is especially the case with batteries, where they'll retain open-circuit voltage well until they're just about ready to die.

In any case, I would highly suggest you get one if your front panel header has the pins, POST beeps are invaluable as I've found. But in the mean time, you can start by reseating your video card and using only one stick of RAM.

Keep pressing F8 before Windows boots and select the option to not automatically restart on failure

Fire up the Windows Recovery Environment from an install disk (should be Repair this Computer) and open up a command prompt. Run a chkdsk /f /r (I think that's it) on the partition of the hard drive.
