i can guarantee that this CPU was not damaged by me..if it was it would've ended up in the trash.
i believe Newegg just didn't want to replace a perfectly good CPU(which i didn't know at the time).

thankfully Intel is a great company and they next day aired a brand new CPU once i gave them the tracking number for the damaged one.

Newegg probably takes the "physically damaged" part to the letter. And I think they would rather you contact the OEM first if the part is not DOA.
