I have a dual monitor setup between a Dell Ultrasharp U2410 and a Wacom Cintiq. My cintiq has its colour set to a calibrated SRGB profile, and I used the same profile on my Dell. However, every single time I start up the computer the Dell returns to "Generic PnP Monitor" despite deleting it from the options. When I try to completely remove it from the computer, it won't let me because it's "In use".

In short, I want to get rid of the generic PnP profile and have it stay with the calibrated profile without having to constantly reset it every time the computer sleeps or starts up. How do I do this?

Try http://en.community.dell.com/support-fo ... 62196.aspx

Also if you're using a VGA cable, swap it out for DVI or HDMI<->DVI if possible. I know VGA can carry ID info, but you can run VGA with a minimum of 6 pins. If you got a really cheap cable, it maybe excluding certain signals.

I'm using a displayport cable.
