HI all,

So I wanted to format my computer and start afresh with Windows 7. Is there a best way to do this? I usually just format using the Windows disk but if there is a better program I'd prefer that.

And what is the best order to reinstall drivers and what not?

Thanks,

Unless you need to be absolutely certain that the data is erased, the formater in Windows install is fine. Formatting doesn't actually erase anything, it just writes a new partition table. Otherwise use Parted Magic to do a secure erase.

As for what drivers to install... The motherboard chipset and related I find generally to be the first thing to install. After that, you can install everything else in any order that you want.

I find the best way to clean my computer and make sure it is totally clean is to use Scrubbing Bubbles. You can get this at any local super market
