Hi! I was playing Brink on my PC on Max at 1080P no problems at all then shut I shut down and then powered it back on about 5 minutes later and got a Blue Screen saying IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Any ides what this could mean??? I would upload a photo but my iPod takes a few life times to start the camera so I didn't have a chance, it lasted about 30 seconds. A few odd things that happened before it crashed was when I tried updating my Nvidia drivers to 313.something from 310.something it says the system scan failed and when playing Red Faction Guerrilla I had two suns, one in its normal place and one at the ground that keep shinning up in my face. Please help!

It sounds like a hardware or driver issue. I am now thinking its my GPU driver as I remember recently it crashed a few times and the Geforce Driver System Scan won't work. I manually downloaded the driver for it and am now going to try to install it.

I just attempted to reinstall it and well... it failed. I am now running at about 800x600 instead of 1920x1080...

Failed the second try...

My 3GB GTX 580 has a warranty thankfully! But... I can't remember my login name to EVGA.

Restarted my PC and got a message saying unknown driver installing and this message

Assertion failed: IsGpuDeviceSupport(Index), file
..\..\CommonLib\include\GpuLib\Source\AGL_GpuDevice.ccp, line 214

and this

GPUTweakit.exe Abnormal Program Termination

GPUTweakit a overclocking program??? I have never overclocked any part of my PC. The Unknown driver turned out to be called GTX 580 and there was a prompt to restart, I restarted and and now I am at 1920x1080 and my GPU seems to be working! Running 310.70. Geforce Auto Scan still fails... any idea why?

Tried Morrowind to just give it a light load and it ran fine, I then tried Metro 2033 on Maximum Settings and it ran fine. So card runs fine.

In my experience, the error you refer to is caused by faulty RAM. I would suggest running Memtest to check for bad RAM. 1 stick at a time, 1 slot at a time. Every computer I've ever worked on with that error was remedied by replacing the RAM. Hope this helps!

I tried Memtest, all my RAM is fine. I tried downloading the latest Graphics Drivers using Internet Explorer and it scanned and went, so apparently manually searching won't work, needs to be auto. It seems for some reason it doesn't scan it on FX but does on IE. Everything been great since! Thanks for the suggestion!

I am also getting occasional sounds that sound like a sick frog, know what I mean? Kind of that sound you get in games if you try to select an unavailable option or try to pick something up but can't. I can't think of exactly how to describe it...

Could it be my SSD causing it? My PC worked perfect before then and never had an issue, then I reinstalled windows on a new SSD and its had the crash twice, both where a month apart. I bought the SSD 6 months ago though.
