Hello,
My pic, which has the motherboard stated in the title
Has the built in wifi... The only problem is It cannot detect my network. Running windows vista.

If plugged in by Ethernet no problem, but can't keep it plugged due to modem in a different location now.

Has anyone encountered this? Any solutions?

Any help is appreciated

This comment leads me to believe that the mobo wifi is actually turned on and attempting to locate a signal. Is that the case?

If so, I would focus on your router. Often times, people set up a bunch of security (for good reasons) and it will interfere with a new device trying to connect; in some cases it deliberately hides signal, thus, preventing a connection. My advice is to turn off all security options on your router (like password restrictions, MAC lists, etc.) and make sure your router is broadcasting the SSID.

These are temporary measures but you want it to be as easy as possible for your new mobo to connect to the router. Once the connection is established, you can then turn on the security measures (one at a time).

Another thought - are you using Window's built in Wifi controller, or are you trying to use the mobo's? I've found that Window's controllers work well so try using it.

Hope this helps.

Thank u formur reply, but that didn't seem to help.
I called my ISPs tech support and determined that under Services;
The WLAN auto config is stopped, and I'm unable to start up again. I get an error 1068....
Perhaps updating the mobo's drivers..
