I had a HD go bad. I was able to get all files off it before it died completely. But many of the files are corrupted that I've tested. Many more seem corrupted because it take minutes to copy them from one directory to another on a good drive after they were copied over from the bad drive. And they were small files. There are 1,000's of files possibly corrupted, out of 100,000's of files. The files are all types; jpg, exe, mp3, wmv, xls, dll, src, dbm, etc.
I have recent backups, but need some software to show me which files are possibly bad. There is a program from Stellar data Recovery that I found on a google search. But I have load each file at a time. Need some sort of batch file checker.
PS. I know that the checker will not be able to see if the .exe will run, or that the .jpg is of the night sky. But something that can check the file integrity.
