 Post subject: Help! 127GB limit Please help me

i bought a western digital 160gb hard drive today, but somehow it only shows up as 127gb. can any experts out there that can help me fix this problem?

Here is some reading for you :)

Unless you're using this drive strictly for storage, I would suggest partitioning it anyway. ie. I have a 120 gig WD drive. I have a 40gig system partition and a 80 gig storage partition.

What OS are you using and how'd you format the drive? because that makes a huge difference asto what you're doing.

OK then you can follow the option in the link I sent you or just activate the rest of your drive through administrative tools and you'll simply end up with one smaller partition.

im using windows xp and i right clicked on the drive and click format
