 Post subject: MS Mouse scrolls too fast - annoying problem....

I have a MIcrosoft Wireless 3000 mouse that seems to scroll extremely fast (like a page at a time per scroll click). Anyway, I've tried adjusting the mouse scroll settings to smooth scrolling, or to 1 line at a time, and nothing seems to work. People have suggested removing IntelliPoint software from Microsoft, which I don't have installed anyway.

Anyone else have this problem? I found that removing the USB transmitter and re-plugging it into the PC solves the problem, but then when I restart, the problem comes back again....

Suggestions? (It's getting really annoying.)

Install it. You can best adjust the speed and settings there. Even so, it's your batteries. They aren't dead, obviously, but losing their charge and unable to hold the profile.
