My computer has been reaching VERY high temperatures for the past couple of months. I finally broke down and bought TWO new cpu coolers; neither of which have helped. Then I bought a new motherboard. Cleaned out every crevice in my computer it is 100% dust free. New bios in motherboard. All hardware is A-OK.

I put it together yesterday expecting to be able to use my beloved machine once again; and it got up to like 160 degrees by the time it got to desktop. I barely had enough time to use the speedfan program (to see the CPU temp) before it automatically shut down.

Usually, it shuts itself off before it's even booted up. This problem is HORRIBLE!

Do I need to buy a new CPU???

EVGA nvidia 680i sli motherboard
2 x BFG Geforce 8800 gtx
arctic freeze cpu cooler or something like that
12 or 16 mb RAM
2 x 1TB hard drive
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E8600

Please help. This is so aggravating.
