I just installed a new hard drive and i installed windows on it. I am wondering if outlook express saves the emails as files somewhere on the hard drive so that i can recover everything or am i going to have to boot back into windows on the old hard drive and make a recovery file or something.

Thanx.

You can do this with very little trouble (hopefully) without booting into your old drive. Here's a start:

you don't have to boot into your old drive to do it. they're stored as .dbx files.
