I recently had to replace my primary drive in my aging pc. Since I plan on upgrading my pc in the next year or so, I decided to purchase a SATA III SSD (Samsung maxiops 120gb) to run windows and to prepare for the future upgrade. However, after installing the drive, windows will not recognize it in the bios or in disk manager.
I have an MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI mobo. The cable connecting the drive is good as I have tested it with a working drive. I realize that my mobo is only SATA I; however, everything I read said that the SATA III drive would work, albeit much slower than its potential. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
