I have a fixed paging file on my C: drive for good old XP, but not on my D: drive. Do drives other than the one holding the primary partition need paging files? I have a couple USB drives connected that don't have them, either.

I'm sure I knew what I was doing once upon a time, but since then I've slept a few times and forgotten everything I ever knew about computers.

No. Though the rumor mill is that if you offload your page file from C:\ to another drive, it may give you a small boost in performance since your system drive isn't doing page file work anymore.
