I have an ASUS P5N32-E that I have been having problems with. Over the last couple of years every HDD that I put into it has started generating SMART errors after a couple of months. I finally pulled it out of service. My question is, I want to build a Free-NAS server using this MB. Do you think that if I put in a SATA controller card into it and plugged ALL the drives into it instead of the onboard SATA ports I could get rid of the errors?
