I am looking for a smaller install of the JRE. Sun Java is over 100 mb and changes the look and feel of some windows objects. Since Microsoft does not support java is it a good idea to track down the old MSVM? :?:

Not exactly a prodigous start - even the SDK is half the size you imagined. And what 'windows objects' are you refering to? The Sun JRE does not change any of you currently installed software.
