Maximum PC

I just started getting this error about two days ago. My install is about 1 month old, and this BSOD hasn't been coming up until about 2 days ago. I run 12GB of RAM in the system, and am going to run MemTest on the computer, but does anyone else know of possible causes of this BSOD?

After the BSOD, the only way I can get Windows running again is to use the F8 key during boot and select to use the last good configuration that worked. that usually works for a few reboots, and then it comes up again. But there really isn't a definite pattern, though, as to when it shows up.

Some people are saying Norton (which I do use NIS 2012, but I've been using that for almost a year and on other installs of Win7 without this issue), and some are saying memory (which is why I'm going to run an all-night MemTest run). Any other possibilities? I don't have any strange set up or anything. It never blue screens while the OS is running either---only during boot up.

Suggestions or ideas?

Along with memtest86+, run the hard-drive's diagnostic software to find out if the drive is failing or not. Get the software from the hard-drive's site, it is free.

Other issue may be the psu failing, hardware failing on the motherboard as in controller chip or electrolytic capacitors.
