I bought the nvidia Gtx 550 ti and I can't seem to get it to work.. I put it into the pci-e16 slot but when I try to install the driver it says it doesn't find any compatible component.. I try and go into bios and just change the video setting from on board to the pic but I can't find such an option. Am I doing something wrong? Also this might be the dumb part but there was a 6 pin connector I believe it is that came with the graphics card.. Is that required, should I plug it in to the motherboard or the powers supply? I can't seem to find it to fit either. In the directions it doesn't say anything about this connector. I've been trying to do it without the connector and the fan on tr gfx car still spins up.. Help please

That plug is required and if you don't have the other end, you can use two 4-pin molex plugs. They plug in from the power supply.

Is the power supply large enough amps wise to drive the card and the rest of the system.

Actually wait, the machine uses a 300W power supply. I wouldn't stick a GTX 550 Ti in there.

And specs http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm ... html?dnr=1
