I downloaded and ran some admittedly sketchy software... After realizing it wasn't working right anyway i decided to delete it. There was a .dll that i tried to delete but it said that it is still in use by a program. I was confused because all my programs were closed. So i restarted my pc. After login screen my screen was black but i could still move the cursor. I waited a little bit and then decided to see if task manager would open. It did (thank god) and to my surprise three applications were running. All of them were called "setup.exe". I got scared and thought my computer was installing viruses or something so i clicked "end task" on each of them. It got rid of them and my computer proceeded to load up the desktop. AVG popped up and said threat detected so i clicked move to vault. The virus name was unknown to AVG the path was C:\Windows\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe

What do you guys think? Did avg catch everything? Did a whole bunch of stuff get installed before i opened task manager? Am i screwed?

Sounds like a W32 variant. Run McAfee Stinger and report back.

I ran stinger it didn't find anything. I also scanned with malwarebytes anti malware and that didn't find anything either. Perhaps I am not screwed!
