One of my users asked me if it would be a good idea to close his old (small) drive to his new (big) drive. I said no. He did it anyway. The problem he's having now is that the Windows Search Service and Windows Update Services aren't working. If you attempt to start Windows Search you get this error "The Windows Search service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs" I've run the gamut on the online solutions. I've even noticed that there are two sets of entries in the Registry for the Windows Search section, but I've been warned not to delete either...
If you try to run Windows Update, the system just hangs.
Any thoughts?
