Hello,

This happened at least for a week now. I have my CC cleaner with me and I clean my PC everyday. Why is it that my PC loads so slow when I turn it on? I would wait 30 minutes for the stuffs in my desktop to load and for it to start and running.

Please advice.

Thanks.

Can you give us some hardware specifications (CPU, motherboard make and model, etc.), please? What operating system are you using on this computer? Oh, and welcome to the forums, sir!

....also what anti-virus and anti-maleware are you using?

How many applications do you have running in the system tray?

Did you install a program and this happened after the install?

After you provide all of the above, run Soluto and share with us those results.

Thanks for the replies. My OS is Windows 7. This happened after I installed Microsoft Office 2010 Professional including Microsoft Outlook 2010 and Microsoft Expression Web 4. I have two antivirus running (avast and mcafee) so I have no problem with my unit having a virus.

I don't want to uninstall the Microsoft Office 2010 and EW4 because I am using them.

I'll try Soluto and see if it will make my unit faster.

Your big problem is you are running two anti-virus programs! You can't do that, one will fight the other and slow the whole system down. Get rid of McaFee and I will bet the system will run normal after that. Use the uninstall program that McaFee has on their website, NOT the one in control panel!

I'm bettin he hit a porn site that had some crazy malware.......

Surprised no one mentioned HiJackThis first. Run this program and I'm sure you'll find tons of crap on your pc that shouldn't be running.

My suggestion............relax on the porn which is the worst place for malware but seriously.....run hijackthis.exe where ever you can find it first. Post an image file of it's scan here for us to see.

I agree with Nasty! Remove one or the other of the antivirus programs and you should see your computer return to normal again.

I highly recommend this, and also I would go into start>type "msconfig" and then check your startup programs and services.
