this original was a HP system until the motherboard went out due to insufficient power and then bought the case.

When you play those videos, check your CPU usage in task manager. If you're constantly at 100%, your processor isn't up to snuff.

okay so i went to youtube and found a video in full hd and i put it in 1080p,definite stutter and cpu goes up around 30% to 60% PF usage around 1.22GB i feel something is limiting the memory.i going to see if i can make a video to show what happening.

Do you know what the max resolution of your monitor is?
This is fairly easy to check out.
Check out the available resolutions from your nvidia or display control panel.

In order to do 1080p, it should be capable of at LEAST 1920x1080.

Also, try hooking it up to an HDTV that does 1080p, if you have one available.
You might need to convert the DVI to HDMI with a DVI-to-HDMI cable.
Obviously, you don't want to downgrade the signal to VGA.
