Maximum PC

My computer is shutting down and staying off some times other times it is shutting down and restarting. I kown this must be a over heating problem but i do not know the best way to fix it. I have some ideas but I would rather get some ideas on here. It also is making the sound when you unplug and plug in anything from the usb port with out me doing anything. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

is it a desktop or a laptop?

If it appears random, it might be BSODs. If you can...

• Right click on "Computer", select Properties
• On the left side, select "Advanced System Settings"
• In the "Startup and Recovery" box, select the "Settings" button
• Uncheck "Automatically restart"

See if this pops up with a BSOD, and if it does, really the stop error here.

Alternatively you could look through your event logs in Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer in the System category.

I have faced the same problem .
-may be the problem is in your RAM
-problem in your restart button
-problem in BIOS
-paste under the cooling fan may become dry
-cooling fan my not properly work


try to find out what is your problem & solve it

My laptop sometimes like that, but I think it because due to overheat. So what I do is have it near the fan to make more air inside the computer and make sure that when it restarts, it fixes and recovers everything.

I'm using a desktop here.
