i am putting together a pc per the parts list in the may issue, the " just right" one.
i have it put together, with ssd connected to power and data, the hdd just power. and the od power and data. the box will post and i can go into bios to adjust boot drive order to dvd, but when attempting to install win 7, the prospective o.s flat out refuses to see the ssd. the bios is much more neighborly and lists it. i have tried swapping sata ports, no bueno.
currently they are all in time out.
any help y'all could give would be greatly appreciated , thnx.

I'm going to go on a whim and ask if you have AHCI enabled for that port. But I don't know if having the port on IDE mode means the SSD is unavailable.

You are probably going to have to go to the manufacturers website, download the chipset drivers, and locate and extract the SATA drivers, then copy those to a thumb drive, boot from the Win7 DVD on the new machine, where it lists the disks, select my disk is not listed or what ever it says, and then install the drivers from the thumb drive, Win7 should then see and allow you to install on the SSD.

@ vander, was hoping to avoid that. was one of the reasons i ordered the listed parts from the article, in both the may mpc and pc gamer.
just wanted it to be pnp, more or less. lol .
