Hey guys I just went to micro center and traded in my amd phenom ii for an i7 2600k as well and my msi 590gxm matx board for an asus saber tooth z77. I also added a second gtx 580 to really step it up, but I left everything else the same. My problem now is moving all my ore existing files and folders. I reinstalled windows 7 and while although all my files are now under the file name "windows.old" I still have I reinstall all my games and programs. My question is how do I go about transferring all the countless game files and save games after reinstalling everything?

The save files either reside in the game folder itself, or in your User folder, most commonly in either My Documents or My Games. If the game is really bad, they put it in the [User]/AppData/Roaming folder.

Either way, just copy your user folder over.

Are you sure they're in the proper folders in your current User folder? They have to be with the current user.

You could just copy My Documents and My Games from the old user folder to the new one if you don't have anything there.
