Maximum PC

Im doing a fix on a pc that has me stumped. Its not able to log into the internet. The connection is good i do have a linklight. There seems to have been a virus on it due to this person had no virus software. What is going on is it wont allow the internet to come thru. I am trying to download ccleaner, superantispyware and malwarebytes by using a thumbdrive and the cd drive but i cant do that also. It wont allow me to do anything. I did try to do a restore but the dates didnt go back far enough so that was no good either. Before this happened the coputer did work good and internet was fine. Is there such a virus that blocks the internet and wont allow the cd drive to work. What else caan i try? By the way the computer does boot up just fine and windows loads properly.

i just cleaned out a pc that was soo infested it wouldn't even let me log into windows or even safe mode.

once i was able to properly log into safe mode i ran ComboFix,SmitfraudFix and Malwarebytes....run them in that order.

those 3 programs eliminated 98% of the garbage on the pc.

i would find a pc with a good net connection and download those 3 programs and put them on a flash drive,and follow the directions carefully with comdofix and smitfraudfix.

then once your finally back into windows(it will take a couple of reboots) download Superantispyware install it..update it then do a full scan..then i would run Malwarebytes again.

If you run Smitfraudfix first you will never get a message from Combofix that you have a script running and shuts Combofix down, that is the virus stopping it.

I found if you run Smitfraudfix, Combofix and Malwarebytes in Safemode with networking, in that order you will be fine and yes the terrible three will murder the viruses on the machine. If Smitfraudfix and Combofix want to update in safemode, let them. I also install, update and run Malwarebytes in safemode with networking.

This sequence works great for me and I thought I would pass on my good experiences to everyone.
