Hello,
How to I disable my JBL computer speakers from auto turning off? I can not seem to find an option for it. They are connected to the motherboard sound. If I idle for a couple minutes the light on them goes out and I have to go back into a game or music file to play something to turn them back on. Ambient game noises do NOT seem to wake them up.

I also want to have sound continue to play from a game if I alt-tab it to the task bar.

I am using win 7 home edition - 64bit.

I've got a pair of Advent Powered Partners with the same damn problem. The speaker manual says this "feature" is built-in, so there's some sort of circuitry inside the speakers' amplifier, not the computer. I would imagine that a peek at the speakers' schematic would be necessary to find out how this "feature" operates and whether it's defeatable.
