I recently inhereted an old Compaq PC that I am rebuilding as part of a winter project. The original Vista installation was deleted and since I don't have the recovery media, I am installing XP instead. My problem is that I cannot locate the XP drivers on the HP site - only Vista. Neither can I find them on the ESC site. Has anyone got any suggestions for where I can locate the chipset drivers for an ECS RC415ST-HM (Alhena5)?

Hagar, In the past I have found if I go to Device Manager and click on update driver for any device that needs one and let XP go to the internet, it sometimes finds and installs the latest driver. Give it a try, you may get lucky.

Nsvander! Thanks for the links. 3/4 of my driver issues solved. The only issue I have left is the SM bus controller. I tried your trick Nasty, but failed to get lucky. Hmmmm.... takes me back to my university days.

Ther beast seems to be working ok right now, but would still like to get that one issue fixed. Any other suggestions?
