Hey guys,
I just installed my new i7 980 processor.
Replaced my old i7 920.

When i was all done setting it up and went to boot the machine, all working fine, but there is no video. The mouse and keyboard dont seem to be working either (They dont light up)
I dont know what i did wrong?
I have a Aus P6T Deluxe mother board.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,

M.B

did you upgrade the bios before putting in the 980 so it could be supported? No video or beeps mean either CPU or mobo... or power problem i guess, Slap in the 920, upgrade the bios and then put back the 980... I am almost 100% positive your mobo can support it(some cheaper mobo's could not even though they were same socket and all)

When you upgrade a processor I thought you had to reset the cmos and/or have the bios updated to the latest version.

It should be updated if there is an Update available. Almost certain it is a must going from a Quad Core to Hex Core Processor.
