Overclocking the core and memory will vary, but you're out of like in the pipeline department. 6800GT = 16 pipes, 6600GT = 8.

should have gone with the xfx chip based on the 6600Gt core, sports an already overclocked stats, plus a big honking heatsink

How's this?:

6600GT: 8 pipelines
6800GT: 16 pipelines

I had the 'nu' on the brain :D

so we have probably come to the conclusion that you cant overclock it more than 60/100 tops, hope you got a water cooler!
