Well I need a new mobo, and am on a budget for my bday since I already ordered speakers. Would a Biostar M7NCD PRO Nforce 2 400 Ultra help me OC my XP 2000+ since I have a older Syntax board. O and i might get 512 MB of PC3200, since I only have 256 of SDRAM :/

Yes you should be able to overclock more with a new nforce2 board than with some old tech board that supported SDRAM.

If its a TbredB you should be able to hit 2.0 without too much trouble. Depends on your cooler, revision, and motherboard.

1.8 is very possible... but pointless IMO. Too low of an goal to get a new board, or to void any warraties

Well, I was thinking out getting the new board because for Xmas i might ask for a new processor and some good Ram. Because my currenyt bocard only supports 266 FSB, and pc2100 ram

for some cheap ram go to new egg, remember, ram is vital to the overclocking, for about 5 dollars more than the cheapest set of ram, you can get 2 sticks of 512 Kingmax 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3500 Speed: DDR433(PC3500) Unbuffered, so $150 of 2 of those sticks! great deal, they are pretty stable too!
