Hey all,

I just bought a used Amd 1700xp (JIUHB DLT3C stepping), and I have to admit, while I'm not new to overclocking, I am new to cpu modification.

Now, the processor came out of a K7S5A Pro, and is going into an ASRock K7S41GX (HTPC)

But after taking the processor out, I noticed that there was some electical tape keeping some wire inplace around 2 pins. So... I'm guessing the guy before me did some mod (multi mod?) to it seeing as the K7S5A doesn't support changing the multiplier. Then I noticed the L11 bridges are cut.

So... to what extent is this processor modded? Should I leave it in the K7S5A? The ASRock does support changing the multi if I remmeber right... I'm just not sure.

I guess my question is, what exactly was modded, and is it reversible? Need I reverse/remove it?

Thanks for any input.

After looking around a bit, it looks like the L12 mod. Which... I don't think I need.
