i cant upgrade my presarios 3100nx any more :shock: i sold the xp1800. still have xp2600-m barton & 2800mp. iput in an asus a7m400-mx :twisted: after 3hrs of playing with b.b.swithes igot 1200 at 100fsb. :oops: :cry: :idea: :evil: after another 3hrs i got 6 matches with the xp-m2@600mhz at 100fsb 1@800mhz at 100fsb and 2@1200mhz@200fsb :shock: from theese 6 matches iwas able 2 find 1 matche@2133mhx at 166fsb :twisted: ive hade this koolance case 4 8 months erckin 4 the 775 socket should iwait to oc the xp-m on the new x-press boards for amd then upgrade to fx or should get a 940 now :roll: this will be my last pc :mrgreen:

please dont ever use so many smilies and break the paragraphs! use periods and commas. my head hurts! :x

if its ur last pc, then id go for the socket939 personally. get a cheap s939 proc and mobo. but if u want a 940 (will be less upgradable) u can get it even though u will have to get registered RAM. i wouldnt just oc the xp b/c if its ur last system ever, idk if ur gonna upgrade, the id get the most upgradable mobo/proc u could get. so id get a socket 939 mobo w / a 3400 or lower.

i agree on the 939 mobo. the smilies slipped out.idont want be let down by missing out on the pci-xpress

idk whether u should get amd or Intel. amd would cost less i think but wouldnt have pci-e but amd will eventually get pci-e but ull need to get a new mobo w/ it i think so its what u think.

im going to try to put the xp-m in an emachine then wait 4 fx on xpress though the 200fxb cant be used thanks 4 ur opion
