sure you could take a proc up 25%....people put xp 2500's past 3200 speeds all the time. but the 3.05....thats from windows. for example my xp 2400 reads a 1.99 instead of 2 ghz

Hey! I'm using FireFox 1.0 now woot woot!

Thanksfilmbot for the concurence
[rant]I just love it when some kid comes in here and right off the bat straight to any bragging thread with his super rig , then followed by a 5 post newcomer who just happend to stumple across the same thread within 20 min and pat him on the back... sigh. thats my rant[/rant]

Me I'm an old schooler I recently mistook my dell system for garbage and acted accordingly bwhahahah  :!: Now I'm on my athlon 800 oce'd to 900 mhz I did get it to 1ghz but suffred from instability, i.e. windows would lock up, blue screen, etc...would push more, but I don't want to blow it like i did my older slot 1 system-you know your fuc*** when you can smell the capacitors burning)the rest of the specs are 256 31337 sdram and 20 gig wd caviar and a radeon 9200 running in 2x mode. Just think a 128 mb card in a 2 year+ old system .
It must think it's the best and I won't tell it otherwise.

give it up... your faking that... even if you did the 3.06ghz is a 533mhz FSB, old technology

Is it not even worth mentioning that you can't OC on an Intel mobo?

I highly doubt that any Intel would take a 995 mhz increase

How about a 1400MHz increase, using a quiet permanent cooling solution. 995 MHz is easy territory for liquid, in some cases even air cooling.

There's a big lack of athlon64s in this thread :/ come on peeps - so what if the oc isn't as impressive, these chips respond so well to extra speed.

How much voltage are you running to your cpu & memory?

1. Lower-case m in "504mhz" implies milli, so your processor is cranked down to .504 Hz(?)
2. If your processor really is running close to 1/2 cycle per second, I suppose "whooping" would be appropriate. But my guess is that you meant whopping 504MHz, which actually is impressive.

j/k, I'm just bitter 'cuz my 3200+ can't get past 2300. First, my 420W PSU is not enough to run all voltages at spec even at normal freq, plus it runs around 46C on die without OC, so I want some kind of active cooling.

Those are my specs, 3200+ @ 2300, more of a confession than a boast, but I'm working on it. Kudos to MaximumPC and all hardware hackers.

Gluck with that about the only way your going to be able to get up your specs is to increase your multiplier. I would suggest moving to an M chip. I am assuming you are referring to an A socket chip.
