 Post subject: Maximum temp for P4C Northwood

I downloaded Intel's P4 fact sheet. They say that P4C shouldn't run above 70 C (less than 90 Watts), and that the case temp. shouldn't be higher than 38 C. Those temps are well beyond my comfort zone. Could anybody tell me a reasonable temp. so that a P4C doesn't become a Prescott power hog (without that wonderful cache, sadly)? Thanx.

On air cooling, my 2.4C at 3.3GHz at full load in a toasty room never went past low 50s (2 PCs folding 24/7, small room, summer heat). Depending on the speed and how hard you're pushing it, I'd make 60C the cutoff point - I believe that's where I have mine set at.
