I'm in the process of building my new system, and I want to make sure that it stays cool. What is a good (free) hardware monitoring software?

Usually what comes with the motherboard, since the monitor has to have the correct BIOS hooks to function properly.

Abit's is very nice.

I prefer a bay mounted monitor(digidoc, enermax 2x2 etc). With good placement these give reliable numbers.

I just installed all the software from my mother manufacturer (Albatron), and there wasn't any temperature measuring software. :(

You can still use Motherboard Monitor 5 then I suppose. Just install it according to their guide and your particular board (compensation and what-not). It's free anyways.

MBM site
Albatron Boards and settings
MBM5 download page
