 Post subject: First time PC Builder Looking for advice

I'm building my first PC rig from scratch and I'm looking for some general advice as to where to start. It will be primarily for gaming and I would like to keep the cost in the $4000 range. Top performance and longevity are my goal for this PC. I would like it to handle games on ultra setting for the foreseeable future. I would like to stress my lack of knowledge on building PCs but I do have some computer literacy.
