This is the first time I have built a PC from scratch in a long time. I want to make sure that I will have all the pieces that I will need as well as make sure that all the parts will work together. This PC will be used for Gaming and Photo Processing. All Photos are stored on external hard drives. If you have any suggestions for alternate parts it would be greatly appreciated.

I'd axe the Blu-Ray drive, drop the graphics down to a GTX 770 if you're only gaming on 1080p, and get a 600W-650W PSU. Should scrounge up enough money to upgrade the CPU to a 4690K.

Just FYI, rumor mills strongly suggest NVIDIA's going to release the 800 series next month.

Processor: Intel Core i5-4690K Haswell Quad-Core 3.5GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor BX80646I54690K
SSD: SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE500BW 2.5" TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model CML8GX3M2A1866C9R

I changed the processor out for a 4690K and the graphics card out for a GTX 770. Going to keep the Blu-ray player though since my computers tend to be my all in one entertainment systems.
