Are there any mice or keyboards that don't make noise, ie clicking?

My desk is in our bedroom, and the noise bothers my wife while she's trying to sleep. I know, I know... Why can't I put my desk elsewhere? Same problem, WAF. There is no room for it anywhere else until my children grow up and move out.

Roll-up keyboards from what I know don't make sound, period. Everything else still has a slight clacking. As far as mice go, you could get a track pad and use the tapping feature instead of the buttons.

The only problem is that such devices feel mushy.

chiclet keys like on laptops are pretty quiet. Not much can be done for the mouse though.

Why not get the wife and kids earplugs? Or move the PC to a closet? Cramped but you can game :D

Bad idea. PCs are basically space heaters and a cramped space will get unbearably hot real quick.

I also found this:

I am using a logitech mx510 and it is silent. only the wheel button clicks.

I also have an old logitech denovo wireless that is very quiet, has almost notebook type keys, but a good feel to them, perhaps amazon might have one. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-967428-0403-diNovo-Cordless-Desktop/dp/B0002XGSS8/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1395642400&sr=8-14&keywords=dinovo+logitech these were never cheap, although a hundred bucks for a used one is about half of the original price.
