Hello everyone.

So i did a new build the other day and like others, figured why buy a new SSD and HDD ill use the older ones. I build it all and all of a sudden BSOD as windows starts up. NOW i know why, because its looking for he old chipset and perhaps motherboard which is no longer there. OK so i have my windows 7 disk and thats fine, plus i have another HDD that i had and was able to get the system up and running.

when im in windows and i attach the two older drives, they do not pop up on the COMPUTER part after i press start. IS this normal? Am i not refreshing the information on that screen right? Basically all i did was close out of it and reopen, nothing. i was hoping to pull the information off those, pictures and such. I cant unless im doing something wrong get the HDD/SSD drive to put that information into the windowold file i keep hearing about.

I hate not knowing what im doing so, if anyone responses , as much detail as possible please. If any questions please ask.

No thinking about it i probably could have reformatted both those drives and been on with my life by now :)

in case.
