Just did my first build in a dog's age. Sourced most of the parts from Newegg.ca including a Gigabyte 78LMT-USB 3 mobo, an AMD FX-8320 Vishera CPU and a Raidmax case with a RAIDMAX RX-500S 500W ATX12V Power Supply. Generally I am pleased with what I got so far... with the exception of the power supply. It does work, but my Hoover central vac makes less noise than this beast!! I have contacted NewEgg but have yet to get any reply. I will be replacing this noisy monstrosity with something a bit quieter. That said - does anyone have any recommendations for a QUIET PSU in the 600W range to use as a replacement?

Cheapest I can recommend is a Corsair CX430. Best price per quality watt is the Seasonic S12II 620W.

Thank you so much for the advice. Think I have settled on the Seasonic S12II. Tons of power plus silent operation - unlike the dustbuster noisy Raidmax I have now.
