Hello all,
I am looking to build a low-cost gaming machine. In the past I have built fairly high-end machines, and I still keep up on the mid to high end hardware, but I am fairly inexperienced in the lower-end stuff. I've put together a build here and would greatly appreciate any feedback. My goal is to stay under $1000, and I should mention I already have all the peripherals and a copy of Windows 7, a SSD I may or may not use and a GTX670 I am taking from another machine.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You may want a AMD 990 board instead of a 970 board, as there's a warning that indicates you may have to update the BIOS on 970 boards (and you can't update BIOS without a working CPU). I'd also find a cheaper case, $130 just seems a little too much for a "budget" build. You can find plenty of nice cases for under $100. Also, do you need a Blu-Ray drive? If you're not watching movies on it, either get a DVD drive or an external one for when you really need a optical drive

Good advice all around. I've updated the build sheet.

Yeah, I'm not sure why the link isn't working correctly. I've tried it a couple of different ways and it's just won't work. Anyway, here is a link to the build:

That looks good.

Though I don't think it'll matter much, see if a 4GBx2 RAM kit will be reasonable. This is mostly to take advantage of dual-channeling.
