Hey guys, got a question for you. As usual, constantly upgrading my desktop has left me with spare parts, but there's no other PC in the house to "hand-me-down" these parts to, so right now I'm wondering if there are any ideas for what I could use them for. The spare parts I have in question are two:
WD Green 2TB 3.5 Inch, SATA III, 64 MB Cache Desktop Drives
These were both replaced by Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 3TB 64 MB Cache drives. One in my PC, one in my enclosure connected to my router that serves media streaming function for the house. The 3TB drives serve the same purpose the 2TB drives once did, to solely hold media (which is now over 2TB worth). My main OS drive is an OCZ Vertex2 120GB SSD, my games and programs are kept on a Samsung Spinpoint 1TB 7200RPM drive. Layout as such:
So, my question is, I have 2x 2TB drives and...can anyone think of what I can use them for, now that my media has outgrown them and they are slow drives? Thank you for your time.
